About Kodomonokuni
Kodomonokuni was founded in commemoration of the Royal Marriage of Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko in 1959 (mounted Emperor and Empress since 1988). It was officially opened on May 5th, a national holiday of the Children's Day, in 1965. Kodomonokuni is a type of natural-park of which the main purpose is to contribute to children's sound mind and body. The land covers an area of 976,000 square meters (approx. 240 acres).

It is a Steam Locomotive type mini train that runs using electricity generated by solarpanels. It takes you to 5 minetus journey.

Loop Bus Akapoppo (Map No.7)
It runs along the Inner Ring Road taking about 30 minutes for an around and stops at bus stops. You can see the timetable at bus stops.

Cow and Sheep Barns (Map No.41)
You can give animal feeds to cows and sheep(100yen/10:00-16:00/Suspended when it rains). Milking events will take place on Saturday, Sunday, National Holiday.
Pony Riding(Map No.38)
It is a short pony riding around the 110m long track.

Sakura & Autumn leaf
There are about 1,000 cherry trees in Kodomonokuni, which are in bloom from late March to early April. The autumn leaves of Japanese maples and ginkgo trees are beautiful from late November to early December.

You may not bring in the following items. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated. Bicycle, Unicycle, Non-pedal balance bike, Tricycle, Kickscooter, Rollerskate, Skateboard, Baseball Bat, Golf Club, Pet, Alcohol, Drone and other things to which we may ask you to leave them. No fires, No smoking except in a designated smoking place and No fishing is allowed.

From JR Yokohama Line, Tokyu Denentoshi Line
Get off at Nagatsuta station, transfer to the Kodomonokuni Line and get off at Kodomonokuni station(final stop of Kodomonokuni Line).
